Lake Mburo national park has numerous accommodation facilities around that are categorical in both the prices and the services offered. The better the services the higher the rates of the lodges therefore it is upon the visitor to choose the best lodge to sleep and dine. There are also camping sites at Rwonyo park headquarters for those interested in camping expeditions. Let’s look at some of the popular lodges around Lake Mburo national park

 

Mantana tented camp:  At Rwamahungu hill near Lake Mburo, there sits a sumptuous eco safari lodge in Mantana Tented Camp. It is one of the indigenous lodges in the park.  It was created in wooden form to portray the agenda of the park of being eco. It has nine guest tents which are very spacious with two beds in them making them double rooms, the toilets and bathrooms are well fitted and there is balcony at the exterior of each room to enable guests look at the stunning surrounding.

 

The Arcadia Cottages: One of the famous lodges in Lake Mburo National Park. it has an exquisite outlook with fair rates. Arcadia cottage is a middle class facility sitting on the shores of Lake Mburo. Its rooms are very standard with good double beddings, screen and wireless internet. Due to its perfect location near the headquarters of the park in Rwonyo, it is an ideal place for guest going for game drives, boat ride and nature walks.

 

Rwonyo Rest Camp:  This is located near the headquarters of the park and managed by the Uganda Wildlife Authority (UWA), the custodians of the park. It is a basic grass roofed wooden establishment. The lodge consists of tented rooms and bandas. The tented rooms have better facilities for instance they have private wash and bath rooms and the bandas have shared bath rooms. It has a camp site where tourists set up their own tents.

 

Lake Mburo Safari Lodge: It is one of the most popular safari lodge in the park. It is an economy lodge but with lots of standard services. For example, the rooms are self contained, great beds and closets.  The bar and restaurant is on point with great dishes. With its pocket friendly rates and offering exquisite services, it is one of the most booked lodge in the park.

 

Eagle’s Nest Lodge:  This is an eco budget safari lodge with 12 tents roofed with dry grass. The establishment is nestled on top of the hill near Lake Mburo national park offering a wide range sight of the park from a far. In the night, the guests hear the sounds of animals. The rooms are spacious, ensuite showers and toilets, there is a well constructed shade on each of the rooms.  This is owned and managed by Nature lodges Uganda, a famous hospitality service provider in Uganda.

 

 

Mihingo Lodge:  Mihingo is an upmarket eco safari lodge placed on a rocky boulder surrounded with some greenery around. It is perfectly placed to have a sight into the park especially the valley which is populated with elands, buffaloes, zebreas, impala and warthogs. It is the best executive accommodation to find around Lake mburo national park, It has 10 tented rooms ecologically constructed with only natural materials. The interior of the rooms is world class fully furnished. The exterior of the lodge holds a swimming pool and tennis court to offer that opulence spark to its guests.

 

Rwakobo Rock:  It is a standard lodge located in the rocky areas of Rwakobo 1km away from Nshara gate one of the three entrances to the park. It is a five bed room cottage with twin beds in each room thus accommodating a maximum of 10 guests.  The lodge is eco friendly since it is built with natural rocks, grass thatched at the top and the solar energy is used for lighting.
